Kit Description and Benefits
The iBR Complete TGV Housing is the original one piece TGV housing for this platform. Replacement of the entire TGV housing in one piece eliminates one set of seals and simplifies the entire assembly. On the dyno the lower divided housing has shown to produce just as much restriction as the upper housing. The flow path within the Complete TGV Housing is also optimized better than would be possible in a two piece solution. Replacing both parts nets you up to 20hp compared to the stock configuration and even more on highly modified cars.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you have install instructions for these?
A. There are plenty of install instructions and videos for TGV Housings. This kit does differ slightly as you also have to remove the plastic runner below the TGV plates. The bolts supplied in the kit replace the OEM bolts that go through the TGV plate as they are too long to reuse. The OEM seal rings from the bottom of the plastic runner must also be transferred to the bottom of the TGV Delete. My WRX Channel also made a great video about the parts here.
Q. What other modifications are required for these TGV Housings?
A. These TGV Housings do not require any other modification done to the car other than tuning. This type of mod can easily be e-tuned and some tuners with experience have OTS tunes specifically for this mod.
Q. What is the torque spec on the TGV Bolts?
A. Subaru recommends 18.1 lb-ft of torque on M8 intake manifold bolts. This can be used for the lower bolts into the block as well as the bolts that attach the intake manifold to the Complete TGV Deletes.
Q. What are the small shallow holes on the sides of the TGV Deletes for?
A. These are designed so they can be final drilled and tapped to 1/8” NPT. This is a nice feature to add an extra intake air temperature sensor or any other accessory. We have been asked if methanol injection can be used in these ports but unfortunately the location of the high pressure fuel pump doesn’t allow for this on the front left runner and the angle of spray would not be ideal.
Q. What are the plug covers that come in the kit? Why four zip ties?
A. These covers go over the exposed TGV plugs on the wiring harness. The covers will keep water dirt and debris out of the plug that could potentially cause issues down the road especially on a car used for daily driving in all weather. We also included four zip ties to secure the section of the TGV harness back to the main harness so it doesn’t bounce around and potentially cause a false knock event.
